EXCLUSION ZONES

TITANIUM MAINTAINED SITES SAVED DURING BUSHFIRES

47 client sites were saved during the NSW and VIC bushfires because we make certain the critical 1 metre fire safety exclusion zone is always free of debris and scrub.

After the bushfires, we conducted site reviews on all affected sites. On one site we identified a burnt tree had the potential to fall on a tower so we organised an EWP and cut the tree down.

About exclusion zones

Protecting people, assets, and operations

In high-risk environments such as telecommunication towers, substations, and electrical infrastructure, managing access is critical. Establishing clearly defined exclusion zones ensures that only authorised personnel enter specific areas – protecting people, assets, and operations.

Without proper exclusion controls, there’s a significant risk of electrical contact, equipment interference, or injury, especially in live or high-voltage areas.

Exclusion Zones

Why You Need Exclusion Zones

Protect personnel and contractors: Prevent accidental contact with live equipment or moving plant.

Maintain compliance: Meet WHS and electrical safety regulations, including AS/NZS 3000 and Safe Work Australia requirements.

Preserve operational integrity: Ensure work activities do not interfere with sensitive or critical equipment.

Reduce liability: Demonstrate proactive risk management and adherence to safety protocols.

Support controlled site access: Define safe working distances, restricted zones, and visual barriers.

The Benefits of Professional Exclusion Zone Setup

Site-specific design: Zones tailored to tower layouts, voltage ratings, and operational environments.

Clear visual demarcation: Use of durable barriers, bollards, safety tape, and signage for immediate visibility.

Integration with site safety systems: Compatible with fencing, access control, and fall protection measures.

Reduced downtime and incidents: Fewer disruptions caused by safety breaches or unplanned shutdowns.

Compliance assurance: Meets Australian standards for electrical and high-risk work environments.
